A common misconception is that equality means treating people the same and that is where we often go wrong.
Organisations need to implement equality and diversity policies and practices. Not only to ensure that they comply with legislation, but to create a respectful and inclusive workplace and workforce.
Individuals needs to understand what those policies mean and how they apply the practices outlined within them.

- Understand what is meant by equality and diversity - In this Equality and Diversity module you will look at Equality and Diversity including what they mean and the differences between them, equality in your organisation, diversity, discrimination and unconscious bias.
- What is meant by discrimination - In this Equality and Diversity module you will look at discrimination by association or perception, protective characteristics, #metoo and time is up, the gender pay gap, terminology, harassment and victimisation.
- Legislation - In this Equality and Diversity module you will look at legislation and equal opportunities.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
