Course content
Module 1 - Health and safety responsibilities. In this module you will look at health and safety at work, legislation, COSHH, the risk control hierarchy, RIDDOR, and how employees meet legislative requirements.
Module 2 - Injuries and ill health associated with manual handling - In this module you will look at the musculoskeletal system, risks and risk factors and injuries.
Module 3 - Hazards and reducing risk - In this module you will look at managing risk, risk assessment, hazards and risks, likelihood and severity of risk, risk control hierarchy, risk reduction and barriers.
Module 4 - How to undertake a MAC assessment - In this module you will look at MAC assessments, lifting operations, carrying operations, team handling operations, ways forward and reviewing.
Module 5 - Completing a TILE assessment. - In this module you will look at reviewing, completing a TILE assessment and control measures.
Module 6 - Manual handling techniques and aids - In this module you will look preparation, lifting and handling, pushing and pulling, manual handling aids, considerations when deciding on lifting/handling aids, testing, servicing and examination of equipment.

Do I need to do any extra work?
You will be required to compete a learner file which is available once logged in. This is an enabled PDF so you can type your answer in. You will upload this in your learning area along with your learner registration form. We will then mark your learner file and provide feedback.
Once this is complete we will put a request in to AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group for your formal certificate.
How do I get my formal certificate?
This will be posted out to you once we receive it from the awarding body. It is sent recorded delivery.
