Modules you will cover in this Recruiting New Staff Online Training:

  1. Module 1 - Job descriptions and person specifications. In this module you will look at process management and defining roles, skills, and attributes.
  2. Module 2 - Making the most of advertising - In this module you will look at CV's, application forms, covering letters, attracting the right applicant, places to advertise, benefits and drawbacks and processes for recruitment.
  3. Module 3 - Short-listing and interviews - In this module you will look at cross referencing applications against the job description and person specification, different types of communication, interview questions, questioning techniques and references.
  4. Module 4 - Managing the recruitment process - In this module you will look at a recruitment statement, managing the selection process for paid staff and for volunteers, trial periods, safe recruitment and DBS checks.

Do I need to do any extra work?

You will be required to compete a learner file which is available once logged in. This is an enabled PDF so you can type your answer in. You will upload this in your learning area along with your learner registration form. We will then mark your learner file and provide feedback. 

Once this is complete we will put a request in to Open College Network West Midlands for your formal certificate.

How do I get my formal certificate?

This will be posted out to you once we receive it from the awarding body. It is sent recorded delivery.
