Staff may not carry caseloads but still come into contact with adults. This could be over the telephone or face to face. All staff that come into contact with adults need to have an awareness of safeguarding. This involves being able to recognise the signs and symptoms of abuse and know how to manage and record a disclosure of abuse.
This course is a basic awareness level 1 course. It is for staff whose work brings them into contact with adults. If staff work with adults on a regular basis or carry a case load, they need to complete the Level 2 course.
