Module 1 - Understanding the Welfare Reform and Work Act 2016 - How the Act affects the housing sector, benefit caps, exemptions, the impact on providers and individuals and affordable rent. Updated - 2023/24 rates.
Module 2 - Legislative changes and their impact. What is a working age benefits freeze, impact of the freeze, what research says, impacts, reduction in rents, rent reduction impact, restrictions and exclusions and universal credit. - Updated rent cap.
Module 3 - Tax credits, Employment support allowance and universal credit - Tax credits and universal credits, ESA,, work capability, conditionality for responsible carers and conditionality groups. Updated - 2023/24 rates.
Module 4 - Existing welfare reforms - Under occupancy, discretionary housing payments, universal credit, council tax, personal independence payments and work capability assessments.

Do I need to do any extra work?

You will be required to compete a learner file which is available once logged in. This is an enabled PDF so you can type your answer in. You will upload this in your learning area along with your learner registration form. We will then mark your learner file and provide feedback. 

Once this is complete we will put a request in to  AIM Qualifications and Assessment Group for your formal certificate.

How do I get my formal certificate?

This will be posted out to you once we receive it from the awarding body. It is sent recorded delivery.
